MissedBeat ("we", "our", "us") operates the missedbeat.dev website and cron job monitoring service. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: When you sign up, we collect your email address and display name. If you sign in via Google or GitHub, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from those services.

Monitor data: We store the monitors you create (name, interval, grace period), ping timestamps, source IP addresses, and user agent strings of incoming pings.

Payment information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers. We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status.

Usage data: We collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited to maintain and improve the service.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and maintain the monitoring service
  • To send alert notifications when your monitors detect failures
  • To process payments and manage subscriptions
  • To communicate service updates and respond to support requests
  • To detect and prevent abuse of the service

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

  • Supabase — database hosting and authentication
  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Resend — transactional email delivery
  • Netlify — application hosting

Each provider processes data in accordance with their own privacy policies.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, row-level security policies, secure authentication cookies, rate limiting, and webhook signature verification. However, no method of electronic transmission is 100% secure.

5. Data Retention

Monitor and ping data is retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete a monitor, all associated ping and alert data is permanently deleted. When you delete your account, all data is permanently removed.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data via the dashboard
  • Delete your monitors and associated data
  • Delete your account and all associated data
  • Export your data by contacting support
  • Withdraw consent for marketing communications

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (session management). We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies. Theme preference is stored in your browser's local storage.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or a notice on our website.
