Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of MissedBeat ("Service"), operated by IkraStudio ("we", "our", "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

MissedBeat is a cron job monitoring service. You create monitors, configure ping URLs, and receive alerts when your scheduled jobs fail to report within expected intervals.

2. Account Registration

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure
• Abuse the ping endpoint with excessive or malicious requests
• Resell or redistribute the Service without permission
• Transmit malware, spam, or harmful content through webhooks

We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.

4. Plans and Billing

The Service offers free and paid plans. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. Upgrades are prorated — you only pay the difference for the remaining billing period. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.

5. Monitor Limits

Each plan has a maximum number of monitors. If you downgrade to a plan with fewer monitors than you currently have, existing monitors will continue running but you cannot create new ones until you are within your plan limit.

6. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of planned maintenance.

7. Alert Delivery

We make best efforts to deliver alerts promptly via your configured channels (email, Slack, Discord). However, we cannot guarantee delivery due to third-party service dependencies. Alert delivery is not a substitute for your own monitoring practices.

8. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. You retain ownership of your data. We do not access your monitor data except to provide the Service or when required by law.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to lost data, lost revenue, or downtime of your systems.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. We may terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, all your data will be permanently deleted.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify you of significant changes via email.
